A total of 1203 saplings of rare species, like Halmilla, Batakirilla, Mara, Karanda, Kohomba, Midella, Kumbuk and Naa were gifted to the Army for its ongoing Wilpattu reforestation drive by a private company on Wednesday (12) at the Army Directorate of Agriculture and Livestock at Panagoda Army cantonment.
Appreciative of the Army dedication for the project, AG Melco Elevator Company Lanka (Private) Limited and Youth of Hope organization jointly offered those saplings and a few maintenance equipment to Brigadier Buwaneka Gunarathna, Director, Directorate of Army Agriculture and Livestock.
