The Army Physical Training Centre (APTC) at Panagoda on 20 December had its Passing out Parades (PoPs) of Physical Training Instructors (Course -16), comprised of Officers, Advanced Physical Training Instructor Course - 46 of Other Ranks, Assistant Physical Training Instructor Course - 130 of Other Ranks and the Swimming Instructor Course - 26 of Other Ranks with a certificate-awarding ceremony for those who qualified in NVQ Level 4, conducted by the Vocational Training Authority.
The joint awarding event, held at the Panagoda Army Indoor Stadium was attended by Major General K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayake USP, General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division at the invitation of Colonel B.K.S.L Rodrigo RSP, Commandant, APTC.
11 Officers and 169 Other Ranks were qualified as Physical Training Instructors while 28 Other Ranks received certificates as Swimming Instructors after training for more than three months in each course.
A gathering of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks watched the Passing out Parade.
