BATTICALOA: TROOPS IN SEARCH OPERATIONS in LAVANAI, north east of DANGELIYADDA Saturday (8) recovered four electric generators, two water pumps, two compressors, one air compressor tank, a one-hundred feet hose and part of a hoister jack from a jungle in the area around 9.00 a.m.
Meanwhile, in OMADIYAMADU area the same day (8) troops recovered one Improvised Explosive Device (IED) with a hand grenade and a length of flexible wire from an abandoned location in the area around 2.30 p.m.
