More Expatriates Sent to QCs-NOCPCO

As of this morning (1), 11 persons who arrived from overseas were confirmed positive to COVID-19. They are from UAE (01) at Ozo Hotel Colombo QC, one Indian (01) from UAE at Freeway Hotel Galle QC, two (2) from Oman at Gannoruwa QC and Kundasale QC and one (1) from USA at Welisara QC, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (1), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 650.

The flight EY 264 from Abu Dhabi with 18 passengers, the flight QR 688 from Doha, Qatar with 303 passengers and the flight 6E 9034 from India with 11 passengers have arrived in Colombo. All of those passengers were referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.

Within the day (1), 19 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 6 persons are from Jetwing Beach QC, 4 from Ayurveda Ragagiriya QC and 09 from Viddaththapalei QC.

Likewise, 47,102 individuals by this morning (1) have been sent back home after quarantining. As of this morning (1), 7052 persons in 78 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (30), 1640 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 287,864.

By 6.00 this morning (1), the total number of fully-recovered detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 648.
