6 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops in the 221 Brigade of the 22 Division organized two “Shramadana campaigns” in the premises of the Public library of Nilaweli, Kuchichiweli and Nawachchilei Junior School, Kuburupiddi during Nov 22- 23.
Meanwhile, another “Shramadana campaign” was organized by 27 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops in the 222 Brigade to clean Sanpahan Nachchiamman kovil premises at Ichchalanpaththu on Monday (24).
5kg of row peanut packs were distributed among 60 civilians at Vakarai area by 3 SLNG troops in the 233 Brigade of 23 Division on Friday (21) with the sponsorship of the World Vision, Vakarai. Commander, 233 Brigade and Commanding Officer of 3 SLNG took part in the event.
