NORTH: ARMY TROOPS during their search and clear operations in the general areas of PERIYATHAMPANAI, SINNA PANDIPARICHCHAN, SUGANDIPURAM, DEVAPURAM IRAMNAMADU, ADAMPAN, MULLAYAVELI and PUTHUKKUDIYIRUPPU recovered one hundred and sixty-eight anti personnel mines, seven 60 mm mortar bombs, six 120 mm mortar bombs, thirty-four 81 mm mortar bombs, eleven Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG), two hundred and sixty RPG propellers, fifty 81 mm mortar chargers, one claymore mine weighing about 2.5 kg, five claymore mines of 1 kg each, three hundred and seven 81 mm Para bombs, four hundred and sixty rounds of 12.7 mm ammunition, 750 lt of kerosene, 53 kg of C-4 explosives, twenty-eight unidentified chemical bottles of 3 liters each, two liquid cyanide bottles containing 2 liters each, one unidentified chemical can with 20 liters, ten unidentified chemical cans containing 1 liter, one kerosene can containing 5 liter, one gas cylinder, eighty-five acid cans containing 6 liters each, thirteen acid cans containing 20 liters each, twelve acid cans containing 10 liters each, two nitric acid cans containing 30 liters each, three hundred and eighty nitric acid cans containing 2.5 liters each, three hand grenades, one 5.56 weapon, one 5.56 magazine and seventeen rounds of 5.56mm ammunition on Tuesday (15).
