The Method of Instructions (MOI) Course No - 62 of Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and the Senior Leadership and Career Development (SLCD) Course No - 42 of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) ended at the Combat Training School (CTS) in Ampara on Saturday (28) during two separate certificate awarding ceremonies.
Both Courses commenced on 4 January 2023 and were conducted for three weeks and both Courses included a series of lectures, practical exercises and examinations. The MOI course was followed by 182 NCOs and the SLCD course had 53 SNCOs. All participants were awarded certificates and respective badges.
Colonel Kamal De Silva, Commanding Officer, CTS- AMP attended the ceremonies as the Chief Guest and delivered the closing remarks on both occasions before he awarded certificates to the attendees.
Lance Corporal G.D.M Perera of 3 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps achieved the first place in order of merits in the MOI course while Sergeant S.H.M Madushanka of 5 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police secured first place in the SLCD course.
