The Civil Affairs Office at 521 Brigade, Point Pedro of Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J), intending to help children with oral health, organized a mobile dental clinic at Shiva Prakash Vidyalaya, Point Pedro on Tuesday (11).
Conducted by Dr Srinivasan of Jaffna Teaching Hospital, it was joined by Dr S. Senthilkumaran, Dental Surgeon and several members of the medical staff at Manthikai Base Hospital.
In addition to examination of teeth of students, 36 students were treated for oral ailments during the clinic. Over 235 students as well as teachers in the area, got their teeth examined during the project.
7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops coordinated the event.
