MIR Conducts a Special Shramadana Campaign

The Troops of Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) organized a Special Shramadana Campaign to clean the bund of Ibbankatuwa reservoir, under the guidance of Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) and the Colonel of the Regiment of MIR with the close supervision of Brigadier A.K Peiris RSP, the Centre Commandant of MIR on 07 September 2024 coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

15 Officers and 200 Other Ranks of Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre participated in this cleaning programme.

Municipal Council Dambulla, Police Station Dambulla, Mahaweli Office Ibbankatuwa, and Medical Officer of Health - Dambulla also have given their fullest assistance and contribution to the make the event success.
