The newly - constructed Senior Officers' accommodation building of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) was ceremonially declared opened by Colonel of the Regiment of MIR, Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wiickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc on 24 December 2023 at Dambuluhalmillewa.
The MIR Center Commandant warmly welcomed the Colonel of the Regiment on his arrival at the camp premises.
Afterwards, Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc was invited to unveil a plaque and inaugurat the new constructed Senior Officers' accommodation building.
Next, the Colonel of the Regiment of MIR, together with other officers had a close view of the new facility before he joined refreshments.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the inauguration ceremony.
