Major General Deepal Pussella, the recently-appointed Colonel of the Regiment of Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) made his first official visit to the Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Mechanized Infantry Training Centre, 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment, 2 Mechanized Infantry Regiment and 5 Mechanized Infantry Regiment camps during 08 and 09 February 2023.
During his visits, troops in all respective locations warmly received him saluting in separate Guard Turnouts Subsequently, he addressed the troops and inquired into their administrative matters and undertook field visits inside those camp compounds, together with the respective officers. He was invited to leave memories by planting a sapling inside each camp premises.
The Commander, Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Ravindra Balasooriya, Centre commandant of Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre, Brigadier Anura Abeyasinghe, Senior Officers, Officers of MIR were also associated with his visits.
Major General Deepal Pussella is also the Commander, Security Forces-West.
