Ministerial Delegation Meets Commander of the Army During the Visit to SLAVF

A ministerial delegation, together with the Senior Presidential Adviser, Mr Lalith Weeratunga on Monday (17) called at the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) Headquarters at Kosgama and met the acting Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva who was there on an unscheduled visit to the place. Hon Minister of Higher Education, Information & Media, Bandula Gunawardena, Hon Geethanjana Gunawardena (MP), together with Mr Lalith Weeratunga, Senior Presidential Adviser, Mr Anura Dissanayake, Secretary to Ministry of Higher Education and Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva inspected the proposed site for the Seethawakapura Technical University, situated adjacent to the SLAVF HQ perimeter. Before the site visit, all of them had a discussion on the feasibility of its construction and other related matters.
