Troops of the 68 Division HQ in Mullaittivu marked their 12th Anniversary by giving prominence to religious observances on Thursday (9).
The special Bodhi Pooja, held inside the Division premises and a special Hindu Pooja at Wattappalei Hindu Temple invoked blessings on the Division.
On the anniversary day (10), troops presented a salute to Major General Keerthi Bandara, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 68 Division after a formal Guard Turn Out at the entrance.
Subsequently, the GOC planted a sapling to mark the anniversary, addressed the troops and joined all ranks for refreshments. A group photograph added value to the day.
