The Corps of Engineer Service (CES) troops-renovated Medical Investigation (MI) Room of the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) at Diyatalawa was recently re-opened, equipped with new facilities.
The overall renovation was carried out under the supervision of the resident garrison engineer and it was ceremonially opened by the Commandant, Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne during a brief ceremony. Giving a facelift, the upgrading of the MI Room remained a long-felt requirement of the Academy and it is now equipped with a spacious OPD, male and female wards, doctor's room, stores and medical assistants' rest room.
The Commandant after opening the renovated unit thanked the CES troops for their committed work within a short period and formally vested it in the SLMA medical team.
