The mobile vaccination programme, launched in Bulathsinhala, Panadura, Ingiriya and Horana areas in Kalutara district was conducted effectively targeting people above 60 years of age by troops of the Sri Lanka Army Mobile Vaccination Unit and the Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps in the past 4 days.
Medical Officers of Health (MOHs) extended their support to the Army Mobile Vaccination Unit.
The Army, empowering the ongoing vaccination drive is now fully committed across the island, including mobile vaccination programmes on the directions of General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak as per instructions of HE the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
