Maldives National Defence Forces Troops who were undergoing training at Sri Lanka recently completed their training package at the Marksmanship Sniper Training School (MSTS) in Diyatalawa during a simple occasion on 10 April 2024.
A group of 03 Officers and 14 Other Ranks commenced their training on 12 March 2024 and concluded on 10 April 2024. During the training package, they underwent special training on T56, G3A3 and AIAW rifles.
Meanwhile, Colonel Hassan Amir, the Defence Attaché of the High commission of the Republic of Maldives in Sri Lanka also inspected the ongoing training on 08 April 2024.
Major General W.P Kariyawasam, the Commandant of MSTS graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest and delivered the closing remarks. Lance Corporal Mohomad Naseem was awarded with trophies for Best Shooter and Best Student, while Lance Corporal Ali Gina achieved highest marks for the written test.
Senior Officers, Officers and Instructors of MSTS also took part in the closing ceremony.
