Majority 608 Still from Colombo District – NOCPCO

As of this morning (31), a total of 2,859 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 10 Sri Lankan expatriates and 2,849 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 608 from Colombo District, 547 from Gampaha District, 447 from Kalutara District and 1247 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (31), a total of 183,451 persons, have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them 86,286 were reported after the New Year. 149,824 of them after recovery have left hospitals. The affected 30,752 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

By Sunday (31) morning (past 24 hours), 1,434 recovered patients have left care centers. 7 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rises to 1,441 by this morning (31).

By Sunday (31) morning, 652 persons have left 17 QCs. As of this morning (31), 4,066 persons in 55 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (31) at the time this communiqué was released, the number of isolated areas remains unchanged and movement restrictions that have been enforced would continue.
