Major General Priyantha Perera Greeted in His Mother Regiment

The newly-promoted Major General Priyantha Perera of Gemunu Watch (GW) was recently greeted and honoured at the GW Regimental Headquarters upon his arrival there upon his elevation to the new two-star rank.

In conformity with military traditions, Major General Perera received the salute of the Guard Turnout, presented at the entrance upon his arrival there soon after the GW Centre Commandant welcomed him. Afterwards, he was ushered to the parade ground to take the salute in the Guard of Honour, hosted in his honour. Together with the parade commander, he reviewed it and took the salute from the special dais.

Members of the Regimental Council, including the Colonel of the Regiment, GW, Major General T.S Bansajaya, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and his close family members were present during the felicitation ceremony.
