Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc commenced his tenure as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 12 Infantry Division on 16 July 2024.
Upon arrival, the new GOC received a warm reception from Staff Officers and then he honored in a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour by Gajaba Regiment troops. Amidst 'Seth Pirith' chanting by the Maha Sangha, Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc signed an official document to signifying his assumption of duties.
To mark the occasion, he planted a sapling and posed for a group photograph with attendees. Addressing Officers and Other Ranks, he outlined his vision for advancing the Division's mission. The event concluded with a gathering where the new GOC engaged with all ranks tea.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the occasion.
