Major General Nevil Weerasinghe of Sri Lanka Engineers on Monday (4) assumed office as the 29th Adjutant General (AG) of the Sri Lanka Army at his office in the Army Headquarters. He succeeded Major General Athula Kodippili.
Amid religious observances, the new Adjutant General signified the acceptance of his office by leaving his signature for an official document. Prior to this appointment, he was serving as the General Officer Commanding, 22 Division in Trincomalee.
