Major General D.W Hapuarachchi (Retd) of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) passed away peacefully at his home in Peradeniya, Kandy on Sunday (9) after a brief illness. He was 90 years of age and an outstanding Senior Officer in the Army.
His funeral arrangements with military honours will take place shortly.
