The new Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Deepal Pussella of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment assumed duties as the 33rd Adjutant General in the Sri Lanka Army on Friday (29) during a simple ceremony at the Adjutant General’s Branch, adhering to health guidelines.
Placing his signature in an official document at the auspicious minute amid religious blessings, he symbolized the acceptance of his new appointment.
He succeeded Major General Sanjaya Wanasingha who has now been appointed the Commander, Security Forces –Mullaittivu.
Prior to this new office, Major General Deepal Pussella served as the General Officer Commanding, 51 Division of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna.
