Major General A.K Jayawardane (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP rcds psc of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment (SLLI) passed away on Sunday (17 Dec) at the Colombo Army Hospital Narahenpita. He was 79 years of age at the time of his death.
His funeral with full military honours will take place on Wednesday (20 Dec) at Borella General Cemetery crematorium at 4.30 pm. His remains are now lying at A.F Raymond House, Borella.
