A MEDICAL CAMP was conducted on 7th, 8th and 9th of June for the people resettled in Mannar by Singapore-based Maha Karuna Buddhist Association. Those camps conducted in Adampan and Veddithalathivu areas were attended by 1612 patients, out of which 382 were for the dental clinic.
In addition, workshops and lectures were conducted on personal health care attended by about 1200 students and those organizers donated equipment to them. Selected 300 children were given T-shirts and 200 selected parents were given clothes. All those who attended were provided lunch. Wanni Commander Major General Kamal Gunarathna was the chief guest on 9th June and Brigadier M.A.M Dias, the Area Commander Mannar was the chief guest on 7th June.
