NORTH: TROOPS operating in the general areas of NOCHCHIMODDAI, ADAMPAN, VISUAMADU, UDAYARKATTU and PUTHUKKUDIYIRUPPU conducted search and clear operations in those areas on Thursday (3) and recovered five thousand rounds of T-56 ammunition, one thousand electric detonators, twelve Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG), one Light Machine Gun (LMG), two hundred and twenty-two rounds of 12.7 mm ammunition with two links, ten 60 mm mortar bombs, one belt order, twenty-two hand grenades, four anti personnel mines, six claymore mines, nine booby traps, 110 m long detonator cords and three unidentified bombs.
