JAFFNA: A SURPRISE ATTACK on a line of LTTE bunkers at KILALY early this morning (20) enabled the troops to smash three of them completely killing at least five terrorists.
The pre-dawn attack was initiated by terrorists at about 5.00 in the morning (20) after directing artillery fire on the troops while they were serving in one edge of the KILALY Forward Defence Line (FDL).
Troops spraying volumes of counter fire overran their bunker line and destroyed three of them.
