AMPARA: TIGER TERRORISTS hiding in the jungles of KONDURUHELA in BAKMITIYAWATHA, AMPARA after they fled KANGIKUDICHCHIARU area, activated a claymore mine aiming Special Task Force (STF) personnel who were on a search operation this morning (8) at about 8.30 a.m.
One STF member was killed while one Home Guard and another STF member were injured in the attack and were rushed to AMPARA hospital.
Search operations by the STF continued in the area.
