MULLITTIVU: A CANTER lorry trying to enter troops held areas and cause an attack on the troops in PUTHUKKUDIYIRUPPU cleared area near the Army Forward Defence Line (FDL) ended in ill-fate when the troops took the lead and destroyed the vehicle with the terrorists onboard, on Monday (30) afternoon.
The driver of the vehicle was killed inside the Canter lorry and another terrorist who tried to escape was also shot dead by the soldiers. Troops were able to find a Five-Zero anti aircraft weapon fix to the lorry by the LTTE terrorists.
