The Commander Army Logistics Command and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME), Major General Indu Samarakoon visited the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) Regimental Centre at Polhengoda on Thursday (30 March) for routine administration inspection.
A Guard Turnout at the entrance saluted him before the SLCMP Colonel Commandant, Major General Anil Illangakoon warmly welcomed him. Staff Officers together with Major General Indu Samarakoon after a while discussed matters pertaining to administrative and logistic matters in the regiment during the inspection. Further, the visiting Commander Army Logistics Command gave instructions for improvements and appreciated the actions taken regarding the smooth administrative and logistics functions of the regiment.
At the end of the session, the Centre commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Brigadier Ravindra Abeysinghe delivered the vote of thanks and presented a memento to the Commander, Army Logistics Command by the Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General Anil Illangakoon as a symbol of memory of his first formal visit to the Regimental Centre - Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.
