Legalizing Possibilities of Health Rules Discussed at Task Force Meeting

The Presidential Task Force (PTF) at the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), co-chaired by Mrs Pavithra Wanniarchchi, Hon Minister of Health and Indigenous Medical Services, Head of the NOCPCO, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Medical Specialist Dr Anil Jasingha, Director General Health Services and Mr J.J Rathnasiri, Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government had one more session of discussion this evening (20), together with experts and other stake holders at the NOCPCO in Rajagiriya.

Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva welcomed the members of the Presidential Task Force and guests at first and stated the purpose of the meeting. All of them evaluated updates and touched on the question of continued health safety for the general public. Discussions focused on possibilities of legalizing general health rules for the benefit of the general public and promotion of health tourism across the country as a viable alternative to attract tourists in the future.
