The ‘Laya Food Festival’, organized by the Army-managed Laya Hotel chain was inaugurated at the 'Laya Beach' Hotel in Wadduwa on Friday (21 Dec).
The Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, graced the inaugural occasion as the Chief Guest. The primary aim of this programme is to promote healthy Sri Lankan cuisine among local and foreign visitors, educate children about indigenous Sri Lankan food varieties, and encourage conduct of a healthier lifestyle while enhancing the Laya hotel brand among visitors.
‘Laya’ is a renowned Sri Lankan hotel chain, managed by the Sri Lanka Army’s leisure sector. Laya Hotel chain in Sri Lanka is comprised of Laya Beach Hotel, Laya Safari Hotel, Laya Wave Hotel, and Laya Leisure Hotel. The festival will continue till 23 December 2023 and is open to the public.
Several Senior Officers serving the hotel chain, their spouses, Officers, Other Ranks and media representatives participated in this occasion.
