'Lakdaru' Pre school in Navatkuli Has its First Year End Concert

11 Sri Lanka Engineers (11 SLE) of the 52 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna lent their assistance to 'Lakdaru' preschool, located at Navatkuli, Jaffna to stage their first ever annual concert on Sunday (10 Dec) at the Navatkuli School Hall.

Navatkuli Village is the sole Sinhala populated village in the Jaffna peninsula. The pre-school, registered under the Early Childhood Education Development Authority of the Northern Provincial Education Department, held the annual concert for the first time with the participation of all kids learning in the school.

During the event, students received stationery items and toys, worth about Rs. 90,000/= donated by a group of well-wishers, school uniforms and stationary worth of Rs. 175,000.00 donated by Thiyagi Charitable Trust Pvt. Ltd, Jaffna, musical items for the band and a first aid box, valued at Rs. 125,000.00 donated by 'Thavam' foundation Jaffna and school uniforms for the next year, worth Rs. 50,000.00 donated by Imaging Compassion International PLC Australia through the coordination of the General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division and supportive troops.

General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks witnessed the concert.
