KLN Troops Display Their Innovative Skills

Pursuant to the Mullaittivu 'Innoveta', the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi staged their Exhibition of Innovations at the Nelum Piyasa auditorium in Kilinochchi on Wednesday (24). Innovators serving the 57, 65 and 66 Divisions and the Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi (FMA-KLN) produced their exhibits to the ‘Innoveta 2019’ exhibition and proved their inherent creative skills.

This annual Exhibition is generally held at SFHQ levels in order to innovate hidden talents and skills of the troops and encourage them to bring their talents to the fore. The Kilinochchi spectacle had 21 stalls which depicted their creative and innovative thinking.

Three Innovations out of those twenty-one were awarded prizes and certificates after a fair judgment made by Colonel S.D Udayasena, Army Research and Development Branch, Dr Pubalasundaram, Senior Lecturer at the University of Jaffna and Dr P. Sashikesh, Senior Lecturer, Jaffna University who was made up of the board of judges.

The first place was awarded to Lance Corporal J. M. S. M Jayamaha of the 9 Sri Lanka Signal Corps while the second and third places went to Rifleman, W. M Milinda of 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Lance Corporal K. M. S. N Bandara of 3 Gajba Regiment.

The Exhibition was meticulously itemized under the guidance of Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, Commander, Security Forces, Kilinochchi, and with the support of the General Officer Commanding of 57 Division and troops of the 571, 572, 573 and 574 Brigades and their Commanders.

Several Senior Officers and Officers representing all under command formations, and civilians in nearby areas attended the inaugural opening of the Exhibition. Adidas shoes | UK Trainer News & Releases
