Troops serving under the Security Force HQ- Kilinochchi supported to transport and distribute a large quantity of 2400 kg of fresh vegetables, made available to the troops for donation by a private donor.
Troops after receipt of the stock selected low-income families who are facing economic difficulties due to the prevailing pandemic threat and curfew hours in the general areas of Ponnagar, Visuvamadu west and Kallaru and distributed them among the civilians on Thursday (07). The donor, Mr Senaka Senevirathne from the USA sponsored this large consignment of vegetables in response to a request of the Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi, Major General Jayantha Gunaratne.
It was carried out under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding 57 Division as directed by Major General Gunarathne, Kilinochchi SF Commander.
