Sponsorship, provided by Hirdramani Private Limited for the troops of the 57 Division under the Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) recently enabled them to distribute 40 water tanks of 1000 liters each, among drought-hit people in Piramanthal Aru and Punnaniravi villages.
SFHQ-KLN took the initiative in this regard considering the series of hardships those villagers were facing due to scarcity of water for all purposes.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN, all the troops serving Divisions, Brigades and Battalions deployed under the SFHQ-KLN are now in the practice of distributing water among the general public, using Army water bowsers.
