Kilinochchi Troops Join Civil Community Campaigns

Troops of the 652 and 653 Brigades of the 65 Divisions under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi carried out community service by assisting to clean school, church and Hindu Kovil surroundings since those areas remain, littered with garbage.

20 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops of the 652 Brigade conducted their 'Shramadana' to clean the Kannakaipuram Methodist Church premises, Kashi Mun Palliy Pre School and St. Sebastian Church surroundings in Konavil.

Meanwhile, 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops of the 653 Brigade organized another self-help campaign to clean the St. Anthony Church premises and Palinagar Kulavari Pullayar Kovil premises. More than 100 Army troops and civilians participated in the said Shramadana campaigns.
