Troops of the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) celebrated ‘Thaipongal’ festival on Friday (15) with several programmes on the directions of Major General Amal Karunasekara, Commander SFHQ-KLN.
A special Pooja was held at Thirimurukkandi Kovil, organized by 6 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps. Major General Karunasekara, together with several senior officers and other ranks attended the event.
Meanwhile, troops of the 57 Division and the 571 Brigade provided free lunch to the inmates and staff at the SK Elders’ Home in Malayalapuram. During the event, Major General Karunasekara with several senior officers gave away gift packs to the elders.
