Mr Kushil Gunasekara’s ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Foundation’ (goodness foundation), dedicated to provide additional support for the wellbeing of Northern and Wanni children, once again gave away 100 push bicycles to students of low-income group families during a brief ceremony at Kilinochchi Harmony Centre.
Mr Kushil Gunasekara, Chief Trustee of the ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Foundation’, together with Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Force Headquarters, Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), was present at the distribution ceremony.
Push bicycles are a very practical and economical mode of transport to the students in remote areas of the North and Wanni and this Foundation in the past 2-3 years, has been engaged in the supply of these needs.
Meanwhile, Major General Ranasinghe in a separate arrangement spoke to heads of non-governmental and public organizations on Saturday (29) in relation to security arrangements in Kilinochchi area, in the context of recent incidents and other developments.
