Army troops of the 652 Brigade HQ in Akkarayankulam in connection with the first formal visit of the newly-appointed Kilinochchi Commander, Security Forces, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda to their camp on Wednesday (29) symbolized the day’s visit by planting 300 coconut saplings inside the camp, covering 5 acres of land.
Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda at the invitation of the 652 Brigade Commander, initiated the coconut growing project by planting the first sapling during his formal visit to the place on Saturday (29).
The programme was launched on the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, Major General Hemantha Bandara. All Officers and Other Ranks of the 652 Brigade and battalion troops under command to the 652 Brigade, commanded by Brigadier Anil Perera participated in the drive.bridge media | Klær Nike
