Troops of the 663 Brigade presented a formal welcome to the Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN), Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana when he formally called at its Headquarters premises on Monday (27).
Troops upon his arrival at the 663 Brigade presented a Guard Turnout plus a Guard of Honour to the visiting Kilinochchi Commander in keeping with military formalities. General Officer Commanding, 66 Division and 663 Brigade Commander welcomed the Kilinochchi Commander to the Brigade Headquarters.
Brigade Commander afterwards briefed the visiting Commander on the role and tasks of the Brigade before he joined a symbolic planting of saplings in specific locations inside the Headquarters to mark his visit to the place.
Later on, he also visited the 2 (V) Sri Lanka National Guard and 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment serving the area before his programmes ended.
During separate visits, he spoke to the troops and urged them to perform their duties diligently while maintaining the highest levels of discipline.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers were associated with the Kilinochchi Commander’s visit to those places.
