Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi made his formal visits to the 66 Division Headquarters in Pooneryn and its under command Brigades on Friday (7).
On arrival at the 66 Division HQ, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi was received by the General Officer Commanding 66 Division, Major General Jayantha Kodithuwakku, and was honoured in a Guard Turnout at the entrance.
Subsequently, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi posed for group photographs with the Staff at the 66 Division. Afterwards, a brief presentation on administrative, logistic and operational aspects of the Division was conducted by the GOC 66 Division and educated him on their role and tasks.
As the next step, he visited the 661, 662 and 663 Brigade Headquarters. During Brigade visits, Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers of under command Battalions presented brief accounts on the operational aspects of their respective areas.
The visiting Commander Security Forces addressed the troops and emphasized the importance of performing assigned duties with dedication and commitment, and promotion of their professional skills through constant training as soldiers.
