Kilinochchi Commander Continues His Familiarization Visits

The Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda made official visits to the 9 Field Engineer (SLE) Regiment and 4 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Women's (SLAWC) Corps on Saturday (01) as part of his familiarization visits.

On arrival at 4(V) SLAWC, the Commander, Security Forces Killinochchi was honoured in a Guard Turnout and received by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel R.S.P Silva.

After the troops address, a brief presentation on administrative, operational and logistic aspects of the Battalion was conducted by the Commanding Officer. Afterwards, he had a look around the camp and joined all ranks for refreshments.

Next, the newly appointed Security Forces Commander -KLN visited the Headquarters of 9 Field Engineer Regiment. In line with the traditions and customs in the Army, he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Major G.A.D Alwis. Later, he paid his thorough attention to the comprehensive briefing presented by the Commanding Officer in relevance to the operational and administrative tasks, carried out by the battalion. Finally, he visited camp premises and wound up the day's visit.

During his addresses, he emphasized the importance of performing assigned duties with dedication and commitment and promotion of their professional skills through constant training as soldiers.
