With the objective of developing and exploiting music talents and appreciation of their knack for music among youth in Kilinochchi area, Sri Lanka Army Beat Group entertained a large gathering of civilians at the Kilinochchi Harmony Centre on Sunday (30).
The programme was staged on the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Force Headquarters -Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), who wanted songs in Tamil culture be given prominence.
Sri Lanka Army beat group and Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) music group joined together to back the vocalists. The musical event was coloured by dancing groups, selected from the area.
General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, 571 Brigade Commander, senior officers, other ranks and many villagers attended the occasion.
