Kilaly FDL Threat Neutralized Beating Terrorists

JAFFNA: A PRE-DAWN ATTEMPT by Tiger terrorists to breach the Forward Defence Lines (FDLs) in KILALY, JAFFNA was effectively resisted by valiant troops Wednesday (3) morning at about 6.00 a.m.

Tiger infiltrators operating from their hideouts tried unsuccessfully to force enter government-held areas while firing mortars and small arms fire on the troops serving the FDLs.

Alert troops reacted fast and resisted their movement injuring or killing at least two of the terrorists. Troops saw two of them fall to the ground apparently with gunshot injuries.

Two valiant soldiers sustained critical injuries and sought admission to PALALY military hospital.

Exact extent of damages caused to terrorists is yet to be ascertained.
