Judo Championships Won by SLNG & SLEME Teams

Championships in the recent Inter Regiment Judo Tournament - 2012, held at Army Physical Training School, Panagoda were won by Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) scoring 50 points and Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) scoring 22 marks (novice category).

Award of trophies and colours took place in a ceremony headed by Major General Crishantha de Silva, Commander, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force as the Chief Guest at Panagoda.

The tournament was conducted under different weight categories. The women’s finals (novice category) were won by 2 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC), 5 SLAWC, 7 SLAWC and 5 SLAWC in below 57 kg category.
