A delegation from the Japanese Non-Governmental organization, JICA, dedicated to promote health interests among north-based civilians met Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna Major General Sunil Tennekoon at his office in Jaffna on Tuesday (24) morning.
Major General Tennekoon gave the visitors, headed by N. Hobo, Managing Director, JICA Headquarters, a brief account on the security situation as well as ongoing development activities in the peninsula before they were entertained to tea.
Those Japanese were equally interested to explore possibilities of expanding their health facilities in the area, it was revealed during their meet with the Jaffna Commander.
