The Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna in collaboration with the District Director of Agriculture, Ms. A Sakeela Banu conducted one-day workshop on “Carbonic Fertilizer Making” on Tuesday (5) at the SFHQ-J premises in order to educate the troops on the use of chemicals, insecticides and herbicides in cultivations.
This one-day workshop was organized on the directions of the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku.
A total of 54 troops including 14 officers attended this workshop. During the programme, troops were educated on advanced technical knowledge and skills on producing the EM liquid which is used for enhancing the quality of the organic fertilizers.
At the end of the session, Brigadier General Staff of the Security Forces-Jaffna presented a memento to Ms. A Sakeela Banu as a token of appreciation.
