Troops of the Security Force HQ - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) appreciative of attainments of a Jaffna student, qualified to enter the Medical Faculty in the Jaffna University and another student, selected to the Engineering Faculty at the University of Peradeniya were gifted laptops, thanks to the sponsorships given at the request of the Army. Both have achieved university admissions in the last Advanced Level Examination.
Mrs Julie Capper, who resides in Australia provided the required amount of Rs. 386,000.00 through the coordination of the Chief Coordinator of Civil Affairs (CCCA), SFHQ-J and Jaffna troops. The presentation of those laptops took place on Sunday (14) at Thalsevana Army Resort, Kankasanthurai after inviting the beneficiaries to the location with their parents.
Mrs Julie Capper and her husband, Mr Percy Thalgahagoda, Civil Affairs Officer SFHQ-J, Senior Officers, and Other Ranks took part in the event.
