At the invitation of Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces – Jaffna (SF-J), Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission (SLHRC) conducted a two-day educative programme on ‘Human Rights and Humanitarian Law’ for the Officers and Other Ranks serving the Jaffna peninsula during 15-16 February.
The lectures of the programme were conducted by Mr. Rohita Priyadarshana and Mr Dhanushka Chamil of the SLHRC at the Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna (SFHQ-J) auditorium.
More than 500 participants listened to the lectures during the two-day seminar.
This programme focused on enhancement of knowledge of Army personnel in the fields of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
