‘Abimansala - 2’, the lifetime care centre for dependent War Heroes of the South, now nearing completion at Wilpitawatta, Kamburupitiya received a stimulus when the Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna (SFHQ-J) undertook the entire cost of a villa (Rs 5.25 m) in the complex.
Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Commander, SFHQ-J after meeting Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President, Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) recently at the SVAB Headquarters, presented a sum of Rs 2 million as part of the construction cost of a villa in the new Abimansala - 2 in progress.
Mrs Jayasuriya acknowledging the receipt of the goodwill gesture of the troops serving the SFHQ-J thanked the Jaffna Commander for his thoughtfulness and generosity towards the project.
